The Cultural Destinations Boutique is now at a prime-location retail space within the International Marketplace at the Minnesota State Fair. It offers culturally inspired businesses a high-visibility opportunity to market their brand, reach new customers, and build toward a longer-term presence at the Fair.

The Boutique is presented by Cultural Destinations in partnership with ACER, AEDS, HAP, and WomenVenture, as part of Cultural Destination's State Fair Business Incubator program.

Each day, the Boutique features three curated categories:

  • World Pantry — coffee, tea, sauces, and spices

  • Gifts of the World — cultural gift ideas

  • Fashions of the World — cultural fashion accessories and jewelry

Participating businesses become part of the statewide Cultural Destinations Network and will be featured in a virtual site on www.CulturalDestinations.org, with promotion to the Fair's one million-plus visitors.

Eligibility & Conditions:

To apply, you must meet the following criteria and agree to the conditions below:

  1. You are an entrepreneur selling products that integrate or express culture — through goods, music, art, or events — and you offer a quality product and a welcoming customer experience.

  2. You have at least three years of selling experience and maintain an active online presence, including a website and social media.

  3. You agree to attend a three-session virtual training on selling at the Fair (each session is 2–3 hours): April 30, May 7, and May 14, from 5:00–7:30 PM.

  4. You understand that the Boutique is a shared 10×10 space featuring products from 10 to 15 businesses — it is not a multi-vendor marketplace with individual stalls.

  5. You are supported or selected by one of our partners. (The application fee is waived for businesses selected through a partner.)

  6. You commit to being present for one designated 4-hour shift to engage with and learn from customers.

  7. You are available to assist with setup and takedown of the Boutique as needed.

  8. You understand that your product pricing must include a 15% commission to the Boutique.

  9. You agree to join the Cultural Destinations Network, a free platform for culture-inspired businesses.

  10. You are open to training and any suggested modifications to your product, packaging, or display.

  11. You will actively promote the Boutique on social media and other platforms.
